We recommend you bring the following:

 

Bedding

• Sheets, top & bottom (single and/or queen size) and pillow slips

• Additional blankets are available in each cabin

Kitchen - a small amount of essentials (salt, pepper, oil, tea & coffee) are provided

• All food – the cabins are self-catering

Bathroom

• Bath towels

• Hand towels and bath mat are provided

​

Other

• Warm clothes all year round as it can get cold at night, even in summer

• Wet weather gear, including gum boots if you have them (even if it is not raining in Sydney)

• Sturdy walking shoes are recommended

• Indoor footwear

• Hat

• Sunscreen

• Insect repellent (for flies, mosquitoes, ticks and leeches as Ben Ricketts is in bushland)

• All personal needs including toiletries (liquid soap for the handbasin only is provided)

• Torch

• Binoculars for the wonderful birds and wildlife

If anything is missing when you arrive or is used up during your stay, please ask the Caretakers.

• Doonas, extra blankets and pillows are provided

Kitchen - Fully equipped for self-catering

• Pots & pans, cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery

• Full sized refrigerator

• Microwave, stove and oven

• Coffee plunger, kettle and toaster

• Washing up equipment, detergent, rubber gloves, tea towels

• Foil, cling wrap, paper towel

• Salt and pepper, oil, a small amount of tea & coffee

• Spare garbage bin liners (we ask that you take your rubbish home please)

• All water is tank water. The water can be boiled if you prefer, and there are water filter jugs in the cabin fridges.

Bathroom

• Liquid soap for handbasin

• Pegs

• Toilet paper

Other

• Slow combustion wood heater

• Firewood, newspaper, kindling, matches

• Electric heater

• Books and games

• There is no TV and phone reception is patchy so come and enjoy the quiet!

 

We ask that you leave the cabin clean and tidy when you leave and that you take your rubbish home with you. There are no garbage facilities available for guests on the property.

The cabins are a smoke-free zone and pets are not permitted on the property.
